🎉 One Year of Elsie: Celebrating the First Birthday of Elsie’s Adventures to Brainy Cove 🎉

 A year ago, I launched a story I had carried in my heart for a long time — a story shaped by my work as a teacher, my journey as a mother, and my deep belief in the power of emotional literacy. I hoped Elsie’s Adventures to Brainy Covewould be something special — a book that could help children understand their emotions while creating connection and conversation for families and classrooms.

I never could have imagined how far Elsie would go in just twelve months.

Here’s what this first year has brought:

Every milestone, every classroom, every child’s smile, every message from a parent or educator — it has meant the world to me. When I wrote Brainy Cove, I wanted to create something filled with heart, imagination, and brain science — a book that could teach social-emotional skills in a fun, engaging, and affirming way.

It’s been nothing short of magical to watch this dream grow beyond what I imagined.

What’s Next for Elsie? 🎒

I’m thrilled to announce that Elsie’s Adventures to Harmony Hills: The Big Move — the second book in the Elsie’s Adventures series — launches Tuesday, August 6th!

In Harmony Hills, Elsie faces one of life’s biggest transitions: a move to a new school and community. The story gently walks children through the emotions that come with change, while encouraging self-awareness, empathy, and resilience. And yes — the brilliant Ola El-Metwally has packed the pages with tiny “Easter eggs” and delightful details that I hope become cherished discoveries in your home or classroom.
