Exciting News: Elsie’s Next Adventure is Coming Soon!
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with you all—Elsie's Adventures to Harmony Hills: The Big Move is set to release in Fall 2025! This second installment in the Elsie’s Adventures series has been a labor of love, inspired by the incredible resilience and adaptability of kids as they navigate big changes in their lives.
A Story of Growth, Change, and Belonging
In The Big Move, Elsie faces one of life’s major transitions—moving to a new home. Change isn’t always easy, especially for kids, but it’s often where we find the greatest opportunities for growth. As Elsie packs up her familiar room, says goodbye to old friends, and settles into her new surroundings, she learns about courage, the power of community, and the importance of staying true to herself.
Through this story, I wanted to explore the emotional journey children go through during big life events and also how to cope with anixety of the unknown . The book combines the science of emotions with practical strategies kids can use to navigate their feelings, all wrapped up in a heartwarming narrative that I hope will resonate with children and families alike.
What Makes This Book Special?
Just like Elsie's Adventures to Brainy Cove, this new book is packed with engaging social-emotional lessons, but with a fresh focus on adaptability and belonging. It features relatable challenges, such as finding the courage to make new friends, learning to appreciate differences, and discovering the beauty of starting anew.
I’ve also included interactive elements in the book—questions, activities, and prompts that invite readers to reflect on their own experiences with change and growth. These tools are designed to spark meaningful conversations between children and their families, caregivers, or educators.
Why This Story Matters
As a writer, educator, and parent, I know firsthand how important it is to give children the tools they need to understand their emotions.
